DMG Services, comprising of Filestores, Shred-it, DMG Business Centre and Need More Space, announced details of the acquisition of Arcane Datastore Ltd, making it the third acquisition undertaken by the company in the last two years.
Arcane Datastore is the largest provider of off-site document storage and data management services in Northern Ireland. Previous to this the company acquired All-Shred, a confidential document destruction company, located in Co. Antrim. The company already has a presence in Belfast which includes Shred-it, the on-site confidential destruction company.
Commenting on the acquisition, Cecil Ryan, Managing Director of DMG Services said, “This is a significant acquisition for DMG Services and clearly fits in with our strategy of expanding market share and consolidating our presence across the island of Ireland. Already we are well established through our 32 county Shred-it expansion. We are excited about the synergies that exist between the two companies and about Arcane Datastore’s client base which provides us with new opportunities to build on our already strong presence in Northern Ireland. Businesses in Northern Ireland will now benefit from our complete cradle to grave document storage, Records Management and on-site confidential shredding service.

Arcane Datastore currently has a client base which includes some of Northern Irelands major legal and financial services businesses. Together with Shred-it, Arcane Datatstore, which will be re branded as Filestores, can now provide a complete confidential document management service.
