Shred-it invests in Cork expansion - opening its third office in Ireland
Shred-it, the onsite confidential document destruction company, today (July 18th 2003) announced that the company is to invest in a new facility to service the Cork region. The planned expansion is in response to an increased requirement for the services of Shred-it outside of Dublin and Belfast, where the company’s two existing offices are located.
Shred-it shreds documents on site to ensure and maintain confidentiality of the shredding process. The company has also purchased its tenth truck which facilitates the process of on site shredding. The truck will service businesses in Cork and the surrounding area, making the company the only national on-site confidential destruction company in Cork.
Commenting on the investment, Cecil Ryan, Managing Director, Shred-it said, "We are very pleased to announce our expansion plans in the Cork region. This expansion is testament to our solid business strategy but also to a strong demand for Shred-it services across the country. We chose Cork for our third base because of their strong commercial and pharmaceutical sectors. More and more companies are becoming aware of the risks involved with the disposal of confidential information, especially in light of new changes to the Data Protection Act.
Together with our new members of staff, new equipment and new premises, we will work towards a common purpose, that of growing our business through the delivery of a high-quality secure service."
