The Sunday Business Post - 24 September 2006 Park West expansion completed by DMG
Business services group DMG has completed a €2 million expansion of its Filestores Records Centre in Park West Industrial Estate in Dublin.
The newly-extended off-site document storage and management facility includes a fireproof media storage vault by US company Firelock, which specialises in fire protection storage for computer media. The first of its kind in Ireland or Britain, the vault can withstand temperature of 1,000 degrees Celsius.
Established in 1989, DMG offers information management services to the Irish market. Its brands include Filestores, Shred-it, Scan Image Services and Archives Consulting Services.
DMG’s group turnover has doubled over the last four years to €12 million. It employs 185 staff at four locations, Park West in Dublin, Kilkenny, Wexford and Antrim. DMG managing director Cecil Ryan said the group was on target to have turnover of €20 million by 2009.
“We are determined that, through the use of the DMG range of services, client firms will not only reduce costs and improve business efficiency but will also ensure that they can demonstrate compliance with best international practice for hard and soft copy records storage and management” said Ryan.
“Chief executives and boards of directors must recognise their responsibility to protect the records that reflect their good stewardship. Furthermore, they must come to understand that successfully managing the modern world of risk means that vital information must be protected and accessible at a moment’s notice.
“Firelock vaults are specifically designed to protect digital and magnetic media by securing the vault environment”.
